Creat a cool fire Banner December 1, 2008

Step 1

I take a picture with low resolution. The picture is also hazy. As this picture only used for the background of my text so it is not necessary to take a clear picture with high resolution.

 

 

Step 2

Select Horizontal Type Musk Tool from the tools menu

 

 

 

Step 3

Here I use turtles.ttf fonts. You can also download the font. Click the font name for download the font. You can use any other font as you like. Make sure that you choose the font which is bold. Your font size should be more than 90. When you select the Horizontal Type Musk Tool click on the left side of the picture. Whole picture will turn into red color indicating you are musk typing. Type as you like. Here I type Radio Fire 22.0FM.

 

 

Step 4

After type select the selection tool. You will get a selection like that.

 

 

Step 5

Now press ctrl+c for copy the selection & press ctrl+v for paste in the same place. You will get a new layer. Here I get layer two.

 

 

Step 6

Now select the layer 2 and go to add a layer style button then go to Stroke. Give the stroke size 2 and select the white color for the stroke.

 

 

Step 7

Select the layer 1 and go to filter > distort > ocean ripple. Make ripple size 9 & ripple magnitude 9. You will get something like that.

 

Step 8

Now again select Layer 2 go to add a layer style button > drop shadow. Make the blend mode normal. Opacity 100, Angle 120, distance 1 px, speed 38%, size 7 & shadow color black.

 

 

Step 9

Now its time for giving some more effect to make the text clear. Go to add a layer style button > Bevel & Emboss. Select style: stroke emboss, Technique: smooth, Depth 164%, size 5 px, soften 0 px, angle 120, attitude 30, highlight mode: normal, color: white, opacity: 100%, shadow mode: normal, color: black, opacity: 69% and select the up direction radio button.

 

 

Step 10

Crop the canvas as you like write a slogan here I use burn the music. I also give some effect to it so that it is more clear with in this colorful background. Go to add a layer style button > drop shadow. Make the blend mode normal. Opacity 100, Angle 120, distance 1 px, speed 10%, size 5& shadow color black.

 

 

Step 11

Now select the rectangle tool (u). Make sure that path are selected then draw a rectangle like the picture. This is only a path.

 

 

 

Step 12

Right click on the path, a menu will appear select the make selection.

 

 

Step 13

The rectangle area will selected. Double click on the foreground color box. A color selection window appear. Write b00101 in the indicating box.

 

 

Step 14

Click on the create a new layer button on the layer pallet. Make sure this layer is the topmost layer. Select the gradient button. Go to the gradient picker box. Select foreground to transparent.

 

 

Step 15

Click the cursor at the right side of the selection and drag it to left. A semi transparent selection will appear. Press ctrl+d for deselect the selection.

 

 

Step 16

Write the web address on the rectangle box. Here I write www.radiofire.com. Using White color, Lucida (LBRITE.TTF) font and 12 font size. Set the Character tracking 600 in the character pallet. Final result is this-
